Today I´m slept like 6 hours ´cause I was stay late the last night. Anyways, it´s story time!
Do u wanna know why I choose design before other careers? If is your case, you´re welcome!, if you don´t, sorry. So, let´s start
When you are a child, you want to be a lot of things. In my case, I have a lot of ideas of what I wanna be: Cosmonaut, chef, detective, doctor, writer, pope, gardener and many other ideas from a 10-years old boy; buy when I was in secundary I was sure about my preferences. I wanna be an artist, but with 14 years is obviously that your parents don´t support you. They said me "Are you sure? you´re not good with the manual job, maybe you should thing in other profession".
Between us, I was so otaku at this ages. Seriously. Today I´m not, I´m more gamer today, but 5 years ago I hadn´t bathed me. So, is normal to your parents mind your dreams of doing chinese cartoons or something else.
So, I was exploring other options, but no one convince me 100%. Biochemistry, phamaceutical chemistry, gastronomy and others, no one persuade me and to get worse, my grade teacher try to make me study a science stuff. But finally, talking with my art teacher found myself. She helped me with my choice, with my feelings, gave me a lot of ideas to how to do my dreams of being a professional artist and earn income in the process.
Today we still friends, and I go to visit her eventually.
About my experience in the University, is the wondeful thing that I know, and at the same time is the worst. If you like the career, you enjoy it all the time, but if you don´t really like it, you will suffer the hell´s pain. All the careers demands independent job hours, in other words, study and work 90% of your free time you´ll spend studying and doing the class things. So think a lot about it before make a decision.
And finally, What I wanna do when I finish my studies? I want to work on a books editorial like a Illustrator doing the cover tape, making websites or whatever related with graphic design.
That´s all! A litlle longer, but is all the story of how I choose my happiness before the money. Hope u liked it, and see u soon, when the quarentine ends.
